  • Blancpain

Blancpain was founded by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain in the town of Villeret, Switzerland, and is considered to be the oldest surviving watchmaking brand since its establishment in 1735. In the 1950s, the brand introduced one of its iconic dive watches, the Fifty Fathoms, made famous on the wrist of oceanographer Jacques Cousteau and later, the standard issue watch for the United States Navy SEALS. Known as the brand that never made a quartz watch, Blancpain has carved a niche of luxury wristwatches with only high-end complications. Their watchmaking innovations include the creation of various in-house and exclusive movements which includes the Calendrier Chinois Traditionnel, the Tourbillon Carrousel, the Carrousel Répétition Minutes and the Tourbillon Volant Heure Sautante Minute Rétrograde.
