The Ref. 151.031 was one of the early iterations of the Lange 1 series in the years after the relaunch of the Glashütte-based manufacture. This featured example serves as the more luxurious counterpart to the standard model Ref. 101.031 that was configured with a bracelet made out of 18-carat pink gold.
Founded in 1845 in Glashütte, Germany by Friedrich Adolph Lange, A. Lange & Söhne has since become a vanguard of German watchmaking. In 1990, Friedrich’s great grandson Walter Lange and watch executive Günter Blümlein resurrected the German watchmaker, which led to the launch of its seminal model, the Lange 1 in 1994. Since 2000, the brand has been a subsidiary of the Swiss conglomerate, the Richemont Group.
