Coming off its successful collaboration with Oscar Award-winning film director Spike Lee, the craftsmen of Artisans de Genève transformed once again the Rolex Daytona into a representation of the artistic scene of the New York borough with a skeletonized dial and a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback with a rotor featuring with BKLYN (an abbreviated form of Brooklyn).
Founded in 2005, Artisans de Genève are considered by many to be the pinnacle of bespoke watch making. Based in Geneva, Artisans de Genève have done high-end modifications on several luxury brands such as Rolex and Patek Philippe, and have introduced a variety of special unique pieces based on iconic vintage watches including the Tribute Challenge based on a Rolex Daytona Ref. 6240, and various iterations of the Rolex Daytona Ref. 116520. The workshop has since produced a series of special watch collaborations with important personalities from the world of sports, music and film including the likes of Juan Pablo Montoya, Lenny Kravitz and Spike Lee among others.
