A direct descendant of the original 1972 Royal Oak designed by Gerald Genta, this model has embodied understated elegance since it has been introduced in 2012. It has a white “Petite Tapisserie” dial in 39mm and luminous steel baton hands and hour marker indices along with the iconic octagonal bezel that features the eight screws synonymous with Audemars Piguet. A rhodium-plated automatic self-winding in-house caliber 2121 movement allows for a sleek 8mm thickness in this classic timepiece.

Established in 1875 by partners Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet, Audemars Piguet is one of the last remaining watchmaking maisons operating under the original founders. The brand has created several technical innovations throughout their existence including the first minute-repeater wristwatch in 1892 and the first skeletonized pocketwatch in 1934. In 1972, Audemars Piguet introduced the Royal Oak designed by Gérald Genta, which was the most expensive stainless-steel luxury sports watch at the time. Since then, the brand has released other iconic models such as the record-breaking Royal Oak Self-Winding Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin, the world’s thinnest automatic perpetual calendar wristwatch.
