The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jubilee” Ref. 14802ST was offered in 1992 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic Royal Oak. Out of only 1,000 pieces made in the anniversary series, only 700 were made in stainless steel, adding to its rarity. The Jubilee is housed in a 39mm case in the exact same proportions as the original Royal Oak from 1972. While it maintains certain attributes of the vintage Royal Oak, it remains as versatile and as easy to wear as any modern watch. Unique to this edition is a see-through sapphire case back granting a view into its movement. This particular piece is in impeccable condition and comes in a complete set, which is extremely hard to come by. The Ref. 14802ST Jubilee celebrates the original design and materials that have broken boundaries and paved the way for the modern classics sought after today, which all but guarantees its future collectability especially as the original Ref. 15202 comes to a close.

Established in 1875 by partners Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet, Audemars Piguet is one of the last remaining watchmaking maisons operating under the original founders. The brand has created several technical innovations throughout their existence including the first minute-repeater wristwatch in 1892 and the first skeletonized pocketwatch in 1934. In 1972, Audemars Piguet introduced the Royal Oak designed by Gérald Genta, which was the most expensive stainless-steel luxury sports watch at the time. Since then, the brand has released other iconic models such as the record-breaking Royal Oak Self-Winding Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin, the world’s thinnest automatic perpetual calendar wristwatch.
