Made in honor of Formula One champion Felipe Massa, the RM011 served as the template for the Les Breuleux manufacture to build the most exceptional sports chronograph of the 21st century. The watch was powered by the caliber RMAC1 that was conceptualized in partnership with movement specialist Vaucher featuring an impressive skeletonized flyback automatic chronograph movement that can easily function without its countdown timer from stopping. Issued in 2016, this example called the “Last Edition” served as its last execution before the brand eventually discontinued its entire model lineup.

Established in 1999 by watch designer Richard Mille and his partner, Dominique Guenat, Richard Mille revolutionized the watch industry with their highly technical and futuristic designed wristwatches. In 2001, the brand presented its first watch, the RM001 Tourbillion, a manual-wound tourbillon with a ribbed tonneau-shaped case that revealed its internal mechanism, which became the face of the brand’s identity. The brand has since been seen as a status symbol among celebrities from the likes of action stars Sylvester Stallone and Jackie Chan to star athletes including track and field star Yohan Blake, tennis champion Rafael Nadal and golfer Bubba Watson. Today, Richard Mille continues the tradition set by the RM001, producing innovation after innovation, whether through unparalleled horological engineering, or pioneering exciting new materials.
